Employee Spotlight January

Our Employee Spotlight for January is Peggy, our patient records specialist!

Peggy is seen inside the photo frame on the left side

We asked her a few questions:

  1. How did you first learn about Gillette Optometric Clinic?

Actually, it was in the newspaper. I was looking for a job in 2003. I sent in my resume and was hired 3 weeks later. I’ve been here ever since. When I started the clinic was on 8th Street.

  1. Best vacation you’ve been to?

Doug and I had no plans. We just got in the car and traveled. We stopped when and wherever we wanted. If we saw something we wanted to stop and look at we did. Another great vacation was when we went to Silver Dollar City. It was My Mom, Dad, Doug and Tami and Me.

  1. If you could witness any past event, what would you want to see?

I would go back and see all my daughter’s track meets and programs that I missed when she was in school.

  1. What do you like to do in your spare time?

Spend Time with my husband. It doesn’t matter what we do as long as we’re together.

  1. What’s your favorite childhood memory?

When my dad came home from work and I was outside riding my bike. He told me to go in the house and wash my dirty knees. I told him they weren’t dirty they were bruised. He asked me “from what?” and I had to tell him they were hitting my handle bars. That’s when he told me to get in the car! We went down to the store and he bought me a new bike for my birthday! I rode it home from downtown and even beat him home! It was the fanciest bike I had as a child. It was blue and chrome.
