Employee Spotlight April 2018

Introducing Jamie Losey, she’s a technician with a passion for helping those with special needs.

What do you like most about your job?

I love working with such wonderful people and taking care of patients. I am a nurturer at heart, so this is a dream job for me! We are family here, not just co-workers. I have several bosses and each one of them is amazing. I have hit the employment jackpot.

 What is your family like?

I have 4 beautiful children and an amazing husband. I come from a large family, so to have one of my own is pretty amazing. My youngest daughter has Down syndrome, and she has taught me great things about life. She’s been a part of my motivation to do what I love which includes working in an environment where I can help others.

Where is your home town?

My home town is Virginia Beach, VA. I miss the sand and sun, but I love the closeness of our community here. The friendliness of everyone is unlike anything I’ve experienced! I look forward to raising my family in this beautiful state. If I could bring all of my family here I would in a second.

What is the favorite part about working for GOC?

My absolute favorite part of working for GOC is being able to work with special needs patients. Having a daughter with special needs has been a blessing and I hope to one day specialize in this field working with other children and adults who need extra care.

What do you like to do on your days off?

I love spending time with my husband and kids when I’m not working. During the summer we love going to the lake and camping. During the winter we spend most time indoors.
